The most important environmental resource in this area is the Natural Park of Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi with its 10,026 hectares. Inside, there are the famous Frasassi Caves, together with fortified villages, ancient abbeys, artistic and cultural itineraries very charming, important museums and wellness centers. In this area there are many solutions for sports activity like hiking, biking, speleology, without forgetting that the park is a real treasure of biodiversity.

In the ancient town of Serra S. Quirico in the complex of “Saint Lucia’’ there is the headquarter of the Park, equipped to conduct educational activities. In addition to the park, which covers the municipalities of Arcevia, Fabriano, Genga and Cerreto d’Esi, there are important CEA (Center for Environmental Education) like Valleremita near Fabriano and the WWF Oasis Bosco Frasassi.

Valleremita offers the opportunity to carry out learning activities and inside there is the hermitage of S. Maria di Valdisasso. Moving in Sassoferrato, town surrounded by mountains, we suggest an itinerary for geological tourism that  starts from Montelago to descend to the Refuge Stella near to the town.

In Arcevia, “the pearl of the Apennines,” you will find the CEA Garden “Leopardi” wonderful, the gardens with a lot of botanical varieties. Going rolling hills of Verdicchio ypu will reach Rosora where there is “Fosso di Rosora”, a trail in nature that follows, for 8 km,  the course of a tributary of the river Esino, where the visitor can discover the charm of the countryside.
