Trekking route from Braccano di Matelica to San Vittore di Genga

This itinerary begins going up to the Abbey of Roti (remains) and then to Acqua dell’Olmo, then passing through the Stone Drilled (a crack in the rock that divides two small valleys) you get to the road that leads to Canfaito.
From here begins the climb, first to the Forcella Mountain and then to the Faldebono Mountain with its 1280 m above sea level, is the highest point of the hike. The view is beautiful and charming from the medieval village of Elcito go down to the sea.
Go down to the Meadows of San Vicino (floristic protected area) where you can admire the lush blooms of daffodils, peonies and red geranium. Going up you reach a beautiful beech forest, after this the hike begin to decline towards the meadows of Cipollara Mountain that runs along the west side to reach the meadows of Caprareccia to continue to Poggio S. Romualdo.
From here the trip begins to go down through the beautiful and evocative Vallacera (short detour to the Virgin of the Cave) to reached firt of all the village of Grotte and then Castelletta that appears in all its beauty. Now you must go down to the pass of Castelletta and from here the hike falls in Valgiubbola and then goes to San Vittore.
